Survey about the current and future state of universities in Europe and beyond

Dear Sir/Madam,

The Institute for Prospective Technological Studies (IPTS) of the European Commission Joint Research Centre (JRC) is conducting an international survey on the present and future state of Universities in Europe and beyond. The aim of this survey is to collect the opinions of senior management as well as research and teaching staff at universities across Europe and beyond on how universities will look in 2025, and on where they are today. Issues addressed in this survey include globalisation, mobility, the third mission of universities, and financial management. The results will be used both for policy-making at EU level and for vision building in Romania.

We kindly request your expert opinion in one of the surveys below or your support in disseminating this invitation to your colleagues at universities.

The survey will take approx. 10 minutes to complete and is open until Wednesday, the 25th August 2010.

If you are a researcher of belong to the teaching staff of a university or affiliated institution or have previously worked for such an institution, please use the following link to access the survey: http://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?formkey=dEVLT2EwTUtRc0JFQTF5NG1kQkl6Qnc6MA
